He is also named on the War Memorial at Cairnryan, Dumfries & Galloway. Intriguingly also gets a mention in Wisden on the Great War: Cricket's Fallen 1914-1918 as a sound batsman, scoring well for Fettes. |

He played for two years in the Fettesian Lorrettian football and cricket first eleven, and was captain of the Fettes cricket eleven in 1909. Lieut. Moir shared with Bowie the position of leading batsman of the Clackmannan County cricket eleven, and could always be depended upon to help the score considerably. |
